CASPAR

THIS IS OUR FRIEND CASPAR.  HE CAME TO 4 PAWS BECAUSE HE WAS PURCHASED FOR A YOUNG GIRL WHO THOUGHT SHE WANTED TO SHOW DOGS BUT SHE QUICKLY LOST INTEREST IN CASPAR SO THE FAMILY BROUGHT HIM TO US. CASPAR IS NOW WORKING AS A THERAPY DOG IN KENTUCKY!

RUFUS

Rufus came to 4 Paws from Admire Papillons in Texas. He came to us with his brothers Gabriel and Amos. Right now Amos is staying with us at the house and having fun as a part of our little Papillon pack! Rufus graduated last week as an In Home Service Dog for a young man named Zachary and he looked like he was having the time of his life when he left us. We will miss Rufus but know that the life of a Papillon Service Dog is a good life to have! YEAH RUFUS!

BILLIE JEAN

(SHHHHH She is an honorary Papillon so don't let her know she is really a goat!)

Billie was only a few days old when she came to live with us and she quickly became one of the pack. Since her Mom died in child birth and we are her family, she thinks she is a Papillon and we don't have the heart to tell her otherwise. Billie is being being bottle fed and is not much bigger than we are but she will grow and she will have natural goat tendencies so she is looking for a home with other goats to show her it is okay to be a goat! We hope she finds one soon before she realizes she does not look like us and suffers an identity crisis!

UPDATE: BILLIE JEAN HAS GONE ON TO BECOME A SERVICE GOAT FOR A 3 LEGGED DEER. SHE LIVES AT SPRINGWATER FARM WITH A COUPLE OTHER GOATS AND A BUNCH OF GEESE. HOWEVER, HER PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO BE A COMPANION TO A DEER NAMED HIEDI, AND THEY LIVE IN THE BACKYARD WITH ACCESS TO THE HOUSE WHERE THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT AFTER AN EVENING OF WATCHING TV WITH THEIR FAMILY!

ZIGGY !!!!

This is our little brother Ziggy! He has the same Mom (Holly) as Piper and I! How awesome is that. We are so excited to have our little brother in the service dog program. Right now, as with most of the Papillons, he is spending time at our house and we are enjoying getting to know our baby brother! He is so Cute. Piper thinks he looks like her but I am sure he looks just like me! What do you think? Thanks Sue Fourmet of Helios Papillons for sending him to be with us and Thanks to our Mom, Holly as well!

MATTIE

Hey this is Mattie. She came to 4 Paws with Flyer from her breeder in Texas who fostered her until a few months ago. She has been back with us and will be ready for her new home early in the new year! She is smart and learned so much already! We are not allowed to share what skills she is learning but I know she will be the best service dog ever so check back early next year to find out what kind of service dog Mattie will be and who her lucky child is! Thanks to Karen Mountain for raising and sending this cute girl to us!

YODA

This is our new friend Yoda. Friday when Karen was at the Trenton Animal Friends shelter she stopped in her tracks, I would have too, imagine, a Papillon in a shelter! EEK!

Of course she went right back on Monday when he was available to be released and brought him to our house. We certainly could not allow a Papillon to stay in the shelter and he is soooooooooooo cute too! HE is a very light cream color and white. He is super sweet and kind, loves the kids, seems to get along with dogs of all sizes. SO PEOPLE OUT THERE.... Our new friend Yoda needs a home. He is 5 years old and his birthday is 10-29-2003... MAYBE we can get him a home for his birthday?

While Yoda was recuperating at our house, we all fell madly in love with his cute, solemn face and he now is at home with Gracie, Piper, and Eliot!

FLYER

This is flyer. Karen Mountain in Texas sent him here to be a service dog. He is only 4 months old so he has a lot to learn. This weekend he stayed with us at our house and had a great time but he was a little afraid of Indy the Great Dane. He does not know she is scared of us little Papillon's!

ELIOT

Eliot also joins us from the great state of Texas, thanks to Karen Mountain. He has been through the prison program and is now looking for a home as a companion dog.
